SASSA Will Take Expert Services to Fernie Community

Tuesday, August 27, 2024

The South African Social Security Agency (SASSA) in Mpumalanga is currently viewing the Fernie 2 Community Hall in Mpuluzi to render companies to the community.

SASSA might be rendering expert services like new social grant applications, change of payment method, consumer care enquiries, as well as the Social Relief of Distress (SRD) COVID-19 grant enquiries.

In an announcement, the agency reported it's alarmed with regard to the higher variety of people counting on social grants for survival.
“The intention of your Integrated Registration Outreach Programme [ICROP] is to reach-out to a large variety of clients/beneficiaries to access SASSA services.

“This is certainly due to lack of infrastructure at Fernie and there is no completely functional office focused on service the area each day. The support level produced for intervention experiences a high inflow of possible beneficiaries, which makes it hard for that Workplace to attend to all people who go to a service point.

“In this reach-out sassa programme, SASSA will mobilise extra resources to allow the servicing of all buyers and raise usage of Social Assistance solutions,” the agency said.
